There Is Hope, Inc., was incorporated on April 4th, 2003 to conduct business in the State of California. On April 21, 2004, There Is Hope was licensed by the State Department of Social Services to become a Foster Family Therapeutic Agency. The Corporation's history is embedded in the aspirations and experience of its Directors, its programmatic and clinical architects, and its core constituents.
For those children referred by Child Protective Services (CPS) for family reunification, our program proposes not only to use family counseling but to raise funds to provide parents with a regular educational/counseling/activities program. The program will provide personal, parental and vocational tools and skills, so reunification might more often and quickly be realized. Too often the parents receive inadequate attention and help. Dreams of reunification end up in failure. This leads to expensive decades of children being raised "in the system".
Educational materials, assistance and support with CPS treatment plans will be offered to birth parents whenever approved by County Social Workers. Children and foster parents will also be included in the same educational/counseling activities. Community resources will be utilized to strengthen impact while the child is in foster placement.
This is all done in the hope of helping parents make significant life changes to ensure successful family reunification whenever possible. There Is Hope, Inc. proposes meaningful assessment of both children and birth parents and use of a multi-dimensional, well-coordinated service delivery in order to achieve the best service outcomes for both children and their parents.
There Is Hope, Inc. has formulated a multidimensional program with an element of family counseling which addresses both the needs of children in for the placement and their biological parents. We propose fighting fire on both fronts simultaneously, utilizing love of parents and children for one another to help motivate accomplishment of foals to speed reunification. Loving support, education and treatment to children (and their parents when appropriate) gives us hope of making a real difference.
There Is Hope, Inc. provides all encompassing foster placement and services care as required by Title 22/Division 6/Chapters 1, 4, 8.8. Our philosophical goals and objectives are much greater and are accomplished through dedication and commitment of our foster care treatment team which includes: administrators, social workers, foster caregivers and most importantly our foster children and their parents. We also believe that out motto, "Making a Difference" stems from both the effort by our treatment team as well as the extensive program activities and community resources. We are also committed to make every effort to seek alternative funding to provide these much needed program components to foster children and their parents.
